Cordless Phones and VOIP

You have probably heard of or currently use VOIP phone service. VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) is simply using the internet to transmit voice phone calls. This will allow you to break free from the expensive and 100 year old technology of land line phone companies. You can actually save up to 75% or more with VOIP, so it's no wonder that people are abandoning the traditional phone companies.

If you have yet to move to VOIP service for whatever reason, then let me give you one less reason to be concerned. Many people worry that they won't be able to connect their phones to the modular phone jacks throughout their house. It is not too hard to use the existing house phone wiring for VOIP, but you must first disconnect the telephone company wiring from your home wiring, else you are likely to damage your VOIP adapter due to the voltage carried by the phone company line. Also if you have DSL phone service you can not disconnect the phone company line since it carries your DSL service. There are work arounds for this, but it takes time and some expertise to set up.

The easy and fast solution is a cordless phone system. Here are the steps to set up a whole house VOIP system with a cordless phone system:

  1. Plug the base of your cordless phone into your VOIP adapter.
  2. See step #1.

What?? No more steps? Right, it's as easy as that!  Simply plug your cordless phone base unit into your VOIP adaptor, distribute your extensions throughout your house and you have whole house service immediately.

So why not give it a try? Most people already have a cordless phone system, go ahead and order VOIP service and try it out. Many VOIP services offer a trial period with a money back guarantee. Keep your old phone company land line while you are trying the VOIP service. You will most likely be surprised that the VOIP quality will be as good or better than the landline. Also the features you paid extra for with your old phone company such as caller ID, call forwarding, call blocking, etc. are now included! And you can easily set it up and manage it online.

We primarily sell cordless phones but we are also recommending a VOIP phone company that we had a great experience with and that is Voipo. A cordless phone system works great with Voipo and since Voipo offers unlimited calling (including long distance) you will save big over your old phone company. A 3 or 4 handset cordless phone system is great for using throughout most homes and is perfect for VOIP service.
